About Me

Hi! I’m Aashika Mamgain — a versatile director-turned-producer from India, raised in the vibrant cultural mosaic of Hong Kong, and currently based in London. I’m a BA Film & Television student at the University of the Arts London (UAL), passionate about storytelling through film and photography.

My journey behind the lens began in 2019 with photography, and since then, my creative path has evolved to include directing, producing, screenwriting, and digital media production. During high school, I served as the Ex-President of Photo4Good, an inter-school network of student photographers across Hong Kong. Through this platform, I had the opportunity to cover events for various charities and non-profits — experiences that shaped my appreciation for visual storytelling with purpose.

At university, I discovered my passion for producing — leading creative teams with focus, resilience, and a deep commitment to collaboration. While producing remains my primary focus, I also explore roles such as directing, sound recording, and gaffing. I’m currently expanding my skill set through VFX and 3D animation in Blender, pushing myself to tell stories in innovative new ways.

My culturally diverse upbringing inspires me to create films that reflect the richness of human experience. I believe that stories connect us — and I strive to craft work that resonates on a personal level, sparking reflection and dialogue.
